The New York Jets have a match up in Week 2 against their division rival the New England Patriots, and it seems that they are not backing down. In one hand, a New York Jet fan should be happy that a team has such confidence, but on the other hand most people would say that the Week 1 victory versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was either a gutsy win or it was gift wrapped.
New York Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson guaranteed victory this Thursday saying “I think with Rex more now in the defensive meetings and helping out, I think he’s going to put together a great defensive plan.” “We’re going to go to Foxboro and get this win,” he said. When asked where the Jets would be after Week 2, Wilkerson replied: “We’re going to be 2-0.”
The confidence is high at the New York Jets camp after the Week 1 victory, and it is always a tough game against the New England Patriots because of the division rivalry, and the Pats being the Pats, but if the New York Jets and Geno Smith want to make a statement to everybody in the sports world that they are for real, then going to New England and knocking off the heavily favored New England Patriots and Tom Brady is one way to do it.
