Giants RB Andre Brown Breaks His Leg Again

The New York Giants can’t seem to catch a break. The team has suffered a major loss in Thursday night’s final preseason game against the New England Patriots, losing their running back Andre Brown, when the back broke his left leg for the second year in a row—last season, the running back broke his leg in Week 12.

Brown was set to be part of the Giants’ 1-2 running back tandem, sharing the load with second year back David Wilson. Brown was the perfect complement to Wilson’s running style; Wilson would provide the spark, and big play ability with speed, and Brown would provide the short-yardage pounding with his bruising running style.

This injury puts the Giants in panic mode, who now only have David Wilson and their No. 1 and rookie back from UMass Michael Cox, and journeyman Ryan Torain. The team will now have to scour for any running backs that are available after final cuts are made this week.

The Giants need to find another capable back, and do it soon, or they’re in trouble.
