The good times keep on rolling for the New York Jets. News broke today from a league source that running back Mike Goodson, who disappeared for most of the summer, was going to return to the Jets within the next 24 hours.
The Jets, who cut embattled running back Joe McKnight earlier today, were very thin at the running back position and of course welcome the return of Mike Goodson—especially since the team signed the back to a three-year, $6 million deal in free agency. But once he returns, the Jets won’t be able to see him in action for another month or so.
The team announced this evening that the running back will be suspended by the league for the first four games of the season for violating Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

A couple of months ago, Goodson was found intoxicated in a car in the middle of an interstate in New Jersey, and was arrested for possession of a semi-automatic weapon and marijuana.
