Off the court Amar’e Stoudemire is having a pretty good year.
He got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Ciara in June, is in serious talks to purchase a professional basketball team in the Israeli pro league, and most recently has agreed to join former ‘N Synch singer Lance Bass as a judge in next month’s Miss America pageant which will take place in Atlantic City.
Unfortunately for Amare and the Knicks, things have not been as good on the court, where the Knicks star has struggled to stay healthy in recent years.
Joining Amar’e and Lance Bass as judges will be Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell, comedian Mario Cantone, and Barbara Corcoran, who is an investor from ABC’s “Shark Tank.” Also on the panel are Carla Hall, co-host of ABC’s “The Chew,” and Deidre Downs Gunn, an obstetrician and gynecologist who was the last Miss America to be crowned in Atlantic City.
The pageant will take place on September 15th from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
