The New York Islanders finished with the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference after Ottawa’s win over Boston on Sunday night. Unfortunately that leaves them to face high-powered Pittsburgh Penguins team.

In this year’s short season, Pittsburgh dominated all season and finished on top in the East with 72 points. The Islanders finished the short season with a 24-17-7 record It will definitely be a tough matchup for the Islanders, but will be one worth watching.
