After missing almost five weeks with a broken finger, starting point guard for the New York Knicks, Raymond Felton, is back for action today against the Philadelphia 76ers. And he will be in the starting lineup.
The Knicks sorely missed Felton’s presence, going 7-7 in his absence.
With felton back in the lineup, it should immensely improve the Knicks’ ball movement. He also adds an inside game with his penetration deep into lanes that enables other players to get open looks, and pick up the pick-and-roll game the Knicks and Tyson Chandler have been missing.
He plays an important role with not only ball movement, but also allows other teammates like Carmelo Anthony, Jason Kidd and J.R. Smith to get more rest and and have less responsibilities.
With the bumps and bruises Felton has suffered this season, the Knicks can only hope he can stay healthy for the remainder of the season.
