The Nets remain undefeated at home this season, after getting a 94-89 bounce back victory over the Hawks. Both teams were even after the first three quarters, but late free throws by Deron Williams and effective defense down the stretch was enough for Brooklyn to get the win.

Looking at the team comparison, Atlanta won in most categories, with Brooklyn struggling from the field and the free throw line. The Hawks were without key players, even though Josh Smith returned from suspension. Al Horford and DeShawn Stevenson were out, with Lou Williams also going down with an injury.

Atlanta, like in their victory against the Nets on Wednesday night, were able to stay in the game despite being shorthanded. Brooklyn’s big three were too much in the end, as Williams, Lopez and Johnson combined for 62 points.

Now with a few days off, the Nets will prepare to face the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Monday night. We’ll have you covered right here on Empire Strikes Back, with a preview, live blog and recap of the crosstown rivalry.
